THE DANGER ROOM FILES, VOLUME 2

J.U.i.C.E. presents…

Los Angeles based hip-hop community arts center J.U.I.C.E. (Justice by Uniting in Creative Energy), is proud to present Danger Room Files Volume 2, the follow-up to 2005’s Danger Room Files Volume 1. Two years after the first installment in the Danger Room Series, the J.U.I.C.E. beat makers and MCs bring The Danger Room Files V2. Through staff changes and unforeseen trials and tribulations the J.U.I.C.E. artists have managed to not only finish their second compilation, but put together a variety of songs that will be sure to have something for every hip-hop fan.

From party tracks like Tiger vs. Crane’s “Paint the Town Red,” the shoe addict’s anthem “Kick It,” and posse cuts like the militant “Missing Links” and futuristic “Transformers Pt. 2,” to the international and multi-lingual banger “0711 2 213,” the social commentary of Rafa’s "Drugs/War/Addicts" and the kinetic, poetic journey of Rogue and Joselph’s “Cinemanic Discussions” this album captures hip-hop at its core- a powerful form of artistic expression that speaks to all aspects of human consciousness.

Artists contributing to this album include Dumbfoundead, returning two years after his debut on The Danger Room files V1 and now an established L.A. hip-hop performer, with his crew Thirsty Fish (Dumbfoundead, Psychosiz and Open Mike Eagle), and SP83 of Customer Service who once again blesses this album with his signature voice and uncanny comedic storytelling ability.

Stepping into the vocal booth along with the rest of the J.U.I.C.E. artists, female MCs Rogue Venom, with her thought provoking and inimitable lyrical prowess and Shorty Loka, an empowering, militant and socially conscious multi-lingual chicana performer solidly represent J.U.I.C.E.’s core principles- using hip-hop to send a message with no discrimination.

Never a hip-hop record without the DJ, scratches can be heard from J.U.I.C.E.’s very own DJ Kenzo along with Los Angeles underground stalwarts DJ Drez, Syndakit and .38 cal DJ Handprints.

Los Angeles may not be ready for what this album brings even though J.U.I.C.E. has delivered all the warning signs. From radio spots on Los Angeles based KPFK 90.7 “Divine Forces Radio” to a feature spot on KTLA’s “Eye on L.A.” J.U.I.C.E. has been busy generating an underground buzz. This album is set to turn that buzz into an electrified jolt.
