About Us

Justice by Uniting in Creative Energy (J.U.i.C.E.) was founded in 2001 in the Rampart District of Los Angeles. We are a non-profit hip hop collective that meets every Saturday from 12-4pm at the MacArthur Park Rec. Center. (2230 W. 6th St., Los Angeles, CA 90057). Our program is free for all age groups.

We teach visual arts workshops, paint legal graffiti murals in the community, record and produce music, emcee, bboy/bgirl on a large hardwood floor to live DJs. We create unique opportunities for underserved young artists to showcase their work, network with peers and professionals and engage with their communities in a positive manner through the arts.

Our mission is to address the root causes of juvenile crime and of youths’ need for belonging by providing a safe center run by and for young people, focused on building skills in the various art forms of hip-hop culture.

Our vision is to sustain a safe and permanent home for youth where the elements of hip-hop are used as a tool for social change, youth empowerment and art education.
